Ok, so we have all heard of the saying “I’m having a bad hair day”, or “I wish I just had someone else to do my hair every day.”
Now where’s the fun in that?
Typically, a day in the life of me – I wash my hair every night after my day at work, blowdrying it naturally or letting it air dry, I also always put a night serum in my hair after I have washed it (no different than putting your night moisturiser on your face really). For the night serum I use one specifically for blonde hair - Cicanuit but there is also a general serum for dry or normal hair that is great for conditioning your hair over night, called, would you believe it, The 8 Hour Night Serum
Now I realise everyone can’t, or doesn’t want to, wash their hair every single night. But what I love about it, is when I awake in the morning I have this fresh canvas to do whatever the day calls for. Natural with a bit of texture, straight and sleek chronologiste, curls for days, or up and out of the face.. ok, so now back to you..
If you are having a “bad hair day”, let’s have a look what may have happened in the lead up to this moment. Did you get a sounds night sleep, eat all your veggies, have the vitality in your work day prior (as in no baggage carrying over), have fresh hair, no bed hair or oiliness to put you on the back foot? Give yourself enough space in the morning to get ready and do your hair? Or magically expect your hair to just do its thing without you lifting a finger or preparing it for the day?
It reminds me of the day we wake up feeling puffy, it’s actually nothing that has happened during the night, we don’t bloat from sleep, it’s all our movements in the past that lead up to this moment. I’m no nutritionist, but can say what we eat plays a vital part, along with why we are eating (is it really hunger or a craving to numb out for a bit?). Exercising regularly also plays its part, but before all that, is how we have been tackling our days. What attitude do we take into the day? Pessimistic or optimistic? Do we respond to what is in front of us or react and complain? These are all our movements, and we are the only ones responsible for making them awesome every day.
So back to the “bad hair”, have we stepped into the bathroom with a 100% attitude that we are going to rock into the day with amazing hair whatever comes through our hands to create the look? Do we style our hair for everyone and not just ourselves? Are you aware that your hair and the way you care for it can actually be a point of inspiration for another? Be daring, and try something you may not have done before. We can step it out with our hair, not just our clothes.
Often when we have a new hair style, it starts a new cycle where we love doing our hair again. If you want to have a chat with us but are unsure where to start feel free to book an online consult.
We have been trialling these consults with a few of our customers that live remotely and they have been loving them so now we are opening them up to everyone. You don’t have to leave home for this one, the online hair consult happens over Zoom or Facetime.
